The PAVARDA hat and scarf system is uniquely designed to protect you from sun and wind. Beautifully modular, you can interchange scarves and hats, and style to suit your conditions.
- Hats are hand-made from sustainable rattan by Dayak artisans in the Kalimantan rainforest, in partnership with HANDEP social enterprise. Their expert hands wove the broad-rimmed hats, with intricate and sturdy traditional techniques now being taught to new generations. Choose between our structured black Eclipse or the rounded natural Delta styles.
- Scarves are created with collaborating artists and printed on sustainable silk. You can preview glimpses of the three artworks here, and will be first to hear when artists are announced!

What to expect
When will I receive my Signature Set?
We are aiming for shipment in early Australian Summer 2026. As an artisanal, regenerative brand, our timelines are tied to the rhythms of nature, community and cultural responsibilities, and hand-craftsmanship.
In the meantime, you’ll receive Around the hearth updates, including sketches and insights, photos and footage from our Kalimantan weaving studios.
How do I choose my hat style and scarf artwork?
You will be sent an exclusive preview and selection form in late Autumn 2026.
As a Founding Supporter, you will be the first to select your specific hat style (black Eclipse or natural Delta) and your favourite artist scarf design before the public launch.
Are these the final designs?
The images here are 'studio previews' of our initial design samples.
While the core styles, materials and artworks are set, slight variations in hat weave and colour are a beautiful mark of the unique, handcrafted nature of each PAVARDA piece.
We look forward to showing you all the final design details, sharing beautiful photography of the signature set being worn and styled, and announcing artists soon!
What if I change my mind?
Because your $360 directly funds our first production run with our artisans and artists, we offer a 30-day "change of heart" refund period from the date of purchase. After this, your contribution is fully committed to the makers.
